Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali, the College of Dentistry at Tikrit University hosted Professor Mike Lewis, an oral medicine specialist from Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. He is the President of the British Society for Oral and Dental Research, former Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Glasgow, and Dean of the College of Dentistry at Cardiff University.
The event, held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, featured a live-streamed lecture by Professor Lewis titled "The Latest Developments in Oral Cancer." The lecture covered the most recent updates on oral cancer, highlighted its key causes, and outlined preventive guidelines. During the session, a discussion took place between the students of the College of Dentistry and Professor Lewis, where students posed insightful questions on various aspects of oral cancer.
