Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali, Dean of the College of Dentistry – University of Tikrit, accompanied by Assist. Prof. Dr. Tamara Afif Majeed, took part in the proceedings of the First Conference of Editorial Boards of Iraqi Scientific Journals.
The conference aimed to enhance the standing of Iraqi scientific journals and to develop academic publishing mechanisms in line with international standards, while also providing an opportunity for exchanging expertise among editorial boards and discussing ways to improve the quality of scientific research.
The sessions focused on the work of editorial boards and members of Iraqi scientific journals, addressing challenges and strategies for advancing their role and ensuring their inclusion in Scopus and Clarivate databases, thereby supporting the academic mission and reinforcing the scientific rigor of Iraqi journals.
Dr. Mohammed Raheel Ali emphasized that the conference represents an important step toward promoting rigorous scientific publishing and expanding cooperation among Iraqi universities, contributing to the advancement of Iraq’s higher education institutions in global rankings.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Tamara Afif Majeed highlighted that the College’s participation in this conference reflects its dedication to supporting its affiliated scientific journals and strengthening their role in disseminating valuable research.
